Today we had a destruction day.
No this one didn't get into trouble we did it while she was at daycare.
A few weeks ago I posted a video of water pouring into my basement window. Well the sheetrock started to mold so we had to break out the bottom 4' of it to replace it.
It was a ton of hard work but now with no mold I seem to be breathing easier.
While moving things we had to move our shelf of storage boxes so D had to take it apart. We also learned that part of the water was from the AC drip line being plugged.
Here is K digging the trench for better/longer downspouts. We have to get this rain water to flow farther away from the house next time.
So when we were putting things in the garage for storage we did dig out the toddler bed for Z. She is a little young for it so it is a fun toy for now.
Tomorrow is putting up the new sheet rock and hopefully doing a little bit to level a sidewalk.

Knitting Club
Today was my weekly knitting club day. I love knitting club days because I get to go out without kids to hang out with the girls.
So because it was knitting club day we did a semi early dinner which made one little girl crabby.
I have no clue how she can be crabby in a tutu but she can.
I have made progress on my sweater this week. I now have it seperated for arm holes and am working up the front.
I have made some sock progress but not much because I have been working on my sweater. The socks are rather fiddly with the color work.
D is doing an install tonight so he has tomorrow off so we will hopefully get some housework done which means no knitting time.

Walk
With K gone at summer servants and then the library end of summer reading party and the little 2 in daycare today I went for a walk by myself.
I actually walked to the post office because I was out of stamps and had bills to mail. They have really neat old school PO boxes there still. You don't see ones like those anymore.
I snap a pic of this castle everytime I walk by it. I hear that it used to be the old city municipal building but now it is a hotel/restaurant.
My garden is still not doing very well. I have been watering and weeding it every day to try and get it to come back to life but so far not much luck. I will work with what I got this year but next year we will make some changes.
I seem to like taking pictures of strange/different things that I see...what kinds of things fill the memory card of your camera?

Football
Today K started summer servants with church. He is super excited to do more mission type work as well as being a volunteer.
See what a good boy up and leaving the house at 7:30 on a summer day to go to church and still has a smile.
G was playing good big brother while D mowed the lawn. He held Z's hand and look her on a walk to the back yard. Unfortunately he let her get in her pool with her shoes on so they both have to wear sandals to daycare tomorrow.
We went and picked up G's gear for football today too. He is super cute in this big helmet and shoulderpads. He is even more excited for football to start now lol.
We had a little play time at the neighbors jungle gym on our way home from gear pickup.
I am making progress on my latest sweater project. It just takes forever with fingering weight yarn on size 3 needles. It seemed like a good idea when I started this 2 years ago.

Soon
Soon things will start falling back into place for us.
G got his football pants and cleats and is ready for helmet and shoulder pad pick up tomorrow. Football skills camp starts next week and he is very excited to play contact this year.
We went shopping at my mom's work today and bought G a new backpack. He has had the same one for 3 years now and it is getting trashed. We are slowly starting to buy the school supplies that the boys need for this school year.
D is no longer on call as of the start of shift today.
I passed my drug test today so I am ready to start my new job on Monday.
We got all of our bills paid today...ok most of our bills some will just have to wait for a bit until we get some more money.
Soon things will be better. Soon things will be easier. Soon school will start and I will pay less for daycare.

Reunion
Yesterday Z and I attended my family reunion for my dad's side. It was fun. Ok, so it was mostly fun because before we even went my sister and I got in a huge fight and then I found out that my favorite cousin wasn't coming but she sent two of her daughters with.
Here is Z with my cousin's youngest daughter B. B is 6 months younger than Z but is a lot bigger and is not nearly as coordinated. Blond seems to run in my family lol.
Here is Z with 2 different of my cousins kids. Z was so happy to find friends.
Other than handing out with her friends she chilled in the shade with her cup of water and made friends with anyone who would give her food.
I was out in the sun all day yesterday and neglected to drink much water and I am feeling it today. I have had a killer headache all day and plan to go to bed early.
I drug test for my new job tomorrow so I am very excited for that. Well...not the pissing in a cup part but as soon as I do that I am ready to start my new job and that's whats exciting.

Digital Scale
Do you own a scale? Have you ever used a digital scale with smart phone tracking?
I have. The one I just got to review is from Weight Gurus. It is on Amazon for $24.99 here and ever so worth it.
I had been using my Wii Fit to weigh myself every morning and now I don't have to go through that hastle. As an added bonus I can have it in my room and weigh myself nude so I can weigh less lol.
We have even gotten Z to stand on it so we can weigh her as well.
This has saves for several users and even a weightless opting that doesn't tell you your actual weight just how much you are up or down. I personally don't use this because I prefer to see my actual number.
Also they have an app that goes with the scale so you can track your ups and downs. I hate to share what I weigh but for the sake of a review...
I like how it tells me my actual numbers at the bottom and how close % wise I am getting to my goal. The red bars are from when I was on vacation and didn't bring it with.
I am getting closer and closer to my goal and this scale is helping me reach my goal.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Job?
I got the heel turned on my Christmas socks today!
I am not sure if I like how they fit or not yet.
I will finish them because I am trying to get my UFOs done not more made lol.
I also went to Red Wing Shoes today. I only spent $180.
In my defense I bought them for my brand new job that I was offered at 3 this afternoon!!! Yup I finally found a job and this one pays $1.39 better than my last job. I am still not going to wear my boots outside until I get my drug test done and actually start. But, if all goes as planned I start orientation on August 3rd at 7:00 am. Disclaimer: the boots did not come with pink laces I did that lol.
So because I have gotten this far in the process before we only walked down to Dairy Queen to celebrate with ice cream cones.
We took K with too but he didn't want his picture taken.
I am serious I have been this close before. About a month ago I was offered the job but then called the next day by HR who told me that someone from second shift was taking the position and if I could do second shift the job was mine. Well, I can't do second shift with daycare so I had to turn it down.
I still want the job that turned me down on Monday and if he called saying that another position opened up I will jump on that in a heart beat. So yea I got a job that I can do but, its just not what I was looking for.

On Call
This whole day has been hard. We ended up seeing D for about 10 minutes before bed last night. So someone didn't sleep very well.
When she woke up at 6 and he had already gone to work I let her cuddle on his pillow until we had to get up for daycare.
As usual I managed to apply for a few jobs and spent a lot of time knitting. I do have one decent lead that I have talked to and an interview for another tomorrow. I need a job and soon.
We finally had our first ripe grape tomato!!!
It didn't last very long lol.
She played cloths and all in the pool after her tomato to clean up a bit before dinner.
D even made it home for about an hour and a half before he was called in again at 5:30. It is now 8 and he is yet to get back home. Today is Thursday and he won't be done being an call until Monday morning. As soon as I get a new job he is going to start looking.

Hasea Chronicles
Wow it has been a while since I did a review. Incase you forgot My name is K and I am Cindy's oldest son. I am 15 years old and starting my freshman year of high school this fall.
Anyway, I am not here to chit chat I am here to talk to you about my latest book review. This one is actually a 3 book series so far and I just got to read all 3.
They are all by Stuart Meczes. The first one is called the Awakening and it is $2.99 on Amazon here.
Book 2 is called The Veil Corruption and that is $3.99 on Amazon here.
Book 3 is actually a prequel or book 0 but, it is called Without a Heartbeat and this one is $3.99 on amazon as well here is the link.
I thought that these were an amazing collection of books to read. I rank it up there with Narnia, Harry Potter, and Lord of the Rings when it comes to fantasy novels.
I really enjoyed the fact that the author told the origin stories of some of the characters. I like this because it makes them seem more 3-dimensional and more relatable.
A dislike I had was that there were many errors. Like, editing notes, misspelled words, missing words, extra words, and words needlessly bolded. I found these very distracting . Most of these were in book 2 but the other 2 books had issues as well.
The Awakening is about a boy named Alexander Eden. He lives in London with his mom, stepdad, and half-brother Mikey. Alexander gets bullied every day. One day he wakes up with super powers. After nearly beating one of his bullies to death a friend steps in and takes him to a secret organisation called Human and Supernatural Entity Alliance (HASEA). There he learns things about Earth that he never thought would be possible.
The Veil: Corruption picks up six months after the last book ended. Now Alex is hearing voices in his head telling him to do bad things. What will happen to Alex now?
Without a Heartbeat is about another HASEA character called Scarlett. She is living in Ireland in 1872 and gets bitten by a vampire. She kills her employer and almost kills her family and that is when HASEA steps in.
I hope that you check out these books and enjoy them as much as I did. I am starting my next book on Monday so I hope to see you again soon.

Nana
Sometimes having a Nana that lives close is a good thing. Today D left at 6 am and now it is 8:30 pm and he is still not home yet. I was prepared for another hard day but Nana called this afternoon and was wondering if her and one of our nieces could come over and swim.
G had a blast in the pool.
Z played with Popsie.
And watched the big kids in the pool.
She even stopped by for a selfie.
The best part is that they brought dogs, buns, chips, and beans to grill for dinner so I didn't even have to cook.
We were sad to see them go...but they did take G with them for the night so it was ok I guess lol.
