Day 3

We are on our third day of vacation and have now started on our return trip.

First up today was the Shipwreck Museum.  This is one of the better ones out there because it had the old dive suits.

They also had one of the newest dive suits on display.

The coolest thing that they had was the original bell from the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Here is a story song about it.

To G and Z the best part was the legos that you could play with.

I think that the kids look so awesome in this lol.

We also checked out Lower Tahquamenon Falls.

Followed by Upper Tahquamenon Falls.

It rained most of the day but we managed to have fun anyway.  We still have three more days of adventures before we have to be home so check back to see even more tomorrow.

Day 2

We started out our second day of vacation with a trip to the Lakenen Sculpture Park.

He seems to have some trouble with the city about his park so we made sure to leave a donation while we were there.

Even with the tons of mosquitoes that were out we still had fun walking through the park.

G had to try out this kids telescope.

Z said that she wants a pet just like this lol.

He didn't put in any money so technically he wasn't gambling.

This snowmobile was big enough for all 3 to pose on.

They even had to ride on the pink elephant.

After that it was checking out 3 different waterfalls.  The first was a mosquito filled trip into the woods.

The second one was 10 feet from the car.

By the time that we hit the third one it had warmed up enough that they were gone.

Then it was the red lighthouse on Lake Michigan.

We also had to play for a bit in the sand.

We ate lunch at the Big Boy and they had these cool wood stuff to play in.

Z is driving the bus watch out.

We climbed all the way up to the flag on top of picture rock.

A pic of my car from the top.

Finally a pic with me in it lol.

We ended our day on the shore of Lake Huron with a super tub to play in.

Day 1

Hello from the UP of Michigan!!!  We have had so much fun checking out the sights today.  Ok, it was a little rocky this morning because we left the house at 3:15am but we made it here lol.

First up was Bond Falls.

The other half of Bond Falls.  As in one waterfall but it takes up 2 pictures.

The kids had to pose on a big rock on the way to today's second waterfall but I didn't find it worthy of a picture.

Then just before lunch we hit up Yooperland.  It was kinda boring but it was free so we didn't complain.

I have pics of K in the stockade as well but Z just looked so flippin cute in it lol.

G getting fed to the swamp monster as Z looks on.

K in "Da-2-holer"

I just had to get this pic because if you ask Z who farted? she will say I did it.

D and I in the Finnish Loveseat.

After lunch we headed to the Maritime Museum which is in a cool old city waterworks building.

K read a ton of signs especially ones about the Edmund Fitzgerald.  G thought that this diver was super cool looking.

G just had to drive the ship and gosh darnit she didn't even make us crash lol.

We are now chilling in our hotel room after our long day and a little swimming in the pool to relax and burn off some excess energy from the long drive.  I am super excited to see what tomorrows vacation adventures will be.

Ready

We are mostly ready to go on vacation.

We started staging stuff on the table as we were going all morning.

Ok I say we but I took the 2 little ones to see my mom today so G could get a haircut before we left.  Thanks mom I love you.

we have one small tote for the stuff to do in the car like tablets, cars, coloring supplies, and books.

The car is all ready to go and locked down.  The list of last minute stuff is written.  We plan to head out at 3am so wish us luck.

Tomorrow I will be posting from some new and exciting location so stay tuned.

Getting Ready

We are getting ready for our vacation.

The rack is built and on the car.  The food shopping is done.

The rack came in a big fun box.

The money was counted (and stolen).

The parade was even attended today.  Thanks Super Nana for letting us sit in your yard.

We even met the Vulcans from the Winter Carnival.  For me it was running into my cousin who was in the parade.

Tomorrow is a cleaning and packing day as well as finishing up some last minute review stuff.

Sunday morning we head put for 6 days 5 nights of family fun.

Cassandra the Cow

Miss Z who hardly ever gets to do reviews has had 2 this week.  First she had a pillow and now she has a cow.

She loves this cow so much.  She likes to carry it around and give it kisses lol.  Any the cow's name is Cassandra and she is from Baby's First TV.  You can get your own cow from Amazon here for $24.98.

The cow does stand by itself and according to my kids likes to play with monster trucks.

It also has to have its own lunch tray and actually eats it if it is something that the kids like too.

The cow seems to be well made and with Z carrying it around for over a month now it is still good as new.

Anyway check out this cow on Amazon you won't be disappointed.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
