Yard Work

With it getting close to 70 degrees here in Minnesota today we wanted to get out and enjoy it.

Unfortunately D is on call so we can't go farther than 15 min or so away from his work truck.

So we stayed home and did some yard work.

We dug up the front yard to make the trench for the garden edgers.

Z didn't do much digging but she did find her shovel to pose for the pic.

We did go to Menards to buy an apple tree and got lunch while we were out.  Z was not sure about having a tree over her head in the truck.

The boys got home from their Dads just in time to help us get the tree in the ground.

So now we just have to buy the edgers and get that garden finished up.  We have between 3 and 5 blueberry bushes in that garden.  We know 3 survived the winter and the other 2 we are not sure about.  We figure this year we will buy 3 more blueberry bushes and 3 or 4 raspberry bushes.

As for the big veggie garden we haven't even begun to plan that out yet.  We for sure plan to do cherry tomatoes and possibly corn.

  1. Ohhh, I am jealous of your apple tree. I can't wait to have a yard of my own that I can landscape and garden!
