Progress

Today I got my Attitude on and decided to say screw it and after that things started to go my way.

My phone interview got rescheduled to 10:30 which actually worked out better for me anyway.  The job sounds great and the guy already said that I am forsure on his list to call back next week for a formal interview the week after.

Then K and I had lunch and left for our long walk to the Comcast store to return out modem.  We had boughten our own 2 months ago and just never had time or kept forgetting about turning it in.  Anyway while we were on our walk I got called about another job that I applied for and actually have the interview tomorrow morning.  

I spent part of my morning doing some long time coming reviews and then got a new something to try in the mail.  I love doing reviews because each one is new and exciting.  I also get to try many different things that I normally wouldn't even dream of getting.

Tomorrow I am going to try this anti-aging facial mask from Hada Labo Tokyo.  I have never done a facial mask so this should be interesting.

To make my day complete Z and I played dollies until she got bored and ran off to play monster trucks with G.

Little Big Pillow

My little Z who hardly ever gets to test things just got to test a toddler pillow.

It fits just right in her crib.  Before you write me to complain the toys don't stay in her crib I just throw them in there when I clean her room.

She came home from daycare the day it came and couldn't wait to try it out.

She still loves it and won't sleep without it lol.

She will share it with G and it is super funny to see them share it.

Attitude

On Monday I needed something different.  I needed something to boost my self-esteem because of being unemployed.  I needed a new me.  So I went to my mom the hairstylist and had my ponytail cut off and my hair dyed.

You can see from my pics that when she first started I was feeling really down about myself.

But, as I started to see results I started to feel better about myself.

Then for even more change I tried this Attitude shampoo that I got free to test in my #nurturevoxbox from +Influenster and +ATTITUDE Living #attitudeattarget the shampoo is available at Target for under $10.

It smells great and made my hair feel awesome.  It was just the change that I needed to boost my spirits and suffer through another week of being on the job hunt.

Pork Chops with Rice

It has been one of those days where everything is kinda good for you.

We had eggs in a frame for lunch to have a little protein.

For dinner we made pork chops and tried some Uncle Ben's Ready Rice.  The recipe for the pork chops can be found here.

We also made a can of peas to add some color to the meal.

The Uncle Ben's rice was bought with a coupon we got from influenster in the #nurturevoxbox.  I was not impressed.  The rice was cooked and all but it had this metallic taste to it.  I usually buy minute rice or knorr rice and I think that I am going to stick with that.  #BeginwithBen

Square one again

Today was one of those days that I should have just stayed in bed.

It started off with dropping Z off at daycare like normal and then getting home just as the rain started.  It didn't take long for the rain to start pouring into the basement ugh big mess to clean.

Today I got that call about that job I was waiting on that I was told that I got on Thursday.  Well it turns out that after a 3 hour long interview and a verbal that I had it HR called to say that someone from second shift was moving to first and I could have the job but it would be second shift.  Yup I had to turn it down because I can only do first shift because of daycare.  

So I went to my moms and got my hair did.  It is now just short of my shoulders and red.  I feel much better and ready to start the search again tomorrow.  I will find a better job than that one anyway. 

After dinner we got a call from Nana needing help moving a TV so we headed that way on our walk.

We got the TV moved and then just had some fun running around in her yard and chatting for awhile. 

It was after 9 by the time we made it home so all 3 kids brushed their teeth and went straight to bed.

Tomorrow will be a better day I can feel it.  You never know the person who wanted to switch might change their minds.

Father's Day

Today is Father's Day and D is on call.  He only had one call today and it happened to be while Z was napping so that was a huge plus.

I would say that he loved his gift but last month Z broke the screen of his laptop so we combined Mother's and Father's days and bought him a new screen for it.

We did make it out for a walk this afternoon and Z thinks she is too big for the stroller so she walked for part of it.

I just want to wish all of those Dad's out there a very happy daddy day.

On Call

I have grown to dread these on call weeks.  D left before Z and I woke up and didn't get home until 6:30 this evening.

Because we had the day to ourselves we went on a morning walk to the small grocery store here in town and bought some snacks.

Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently

I love to walk by this sign because it always says something thought provoking. 

Then we came home and had some lunch and a nap.  After that we headed the other direction to the Dollar General to see what they had to munch on.

We didn't find anything to eat but we did get some new wall stickers.

Z is thrilled to have something up on her walls.

We then just hung around the house until D got home and we enjoyed some dinner together.

After dinner D wanted to go for our usual evening stroll so we headed out and saw a bear and a moose in a canoe in someones yard.

We also saw a mini church that apparently holds weddings for leprechauns lol.
