Last Day of Football Camp

I hate to say it but I am so glad that skills week is over.  Day one was good but by day four I am just like will this ever end.  All they do is work on warm-ups, catching, and throwing.  I mean a game is one thing but this gets a little old.  But, I go everyday and put on my smile and say G you did fantastic out there.  Ok, so he can't catch the ball or throw it to someone but he still has fun and at 7 thats all that matters.  Well...that and his friends are there to play with and thats fun too.

Today was my 2 year anniversary at Arctic Glacier.  Yea I know that lots of people have been at their jobs longer than that but you have to start somewhere and take things one day at a time.  No, I did not get any recognition for it and the boyfriend and kids didn't care either but it means something to me so I had to share it with you.  I just wish that I could be a stay at home mom sometimes...

Yup perfect song for my mood today.

Football Day 3

Today was day 3 of football and so far I have managed to make it to see him play.  On Monday it was me, Z, and Ducky who came, yesterday it was just G and I there, and today it was G, Z, Nana, and I.  We didn't even know she was coming but she was at the field when we got there and it was a fantastic surprise.  To top it off we met Mav's grandma and she swapped numbers so G can go over to his house for a playdate on Friday.

K went to Valley Fair with his day program today.  It was his first time being there and when he got home we got to hear about it in lengthy detail.  Oh the joy of a child who has a tendency to get over excited about things.  Truthfully I am very tired of hearing about rides at this point I feel like I have ridden all of them myself.  Hopefully the bowling trip is a wee bit less exciting.

All three kids have eye doctor appointments on Monday which is going to be tons of fun (insert sarcasm here).  If it is anything like last time they will get their eyes dilated and everything.  The boys are excited to pick out new glasses so it won't be all bad.  I am just dreading dealing with Z during the whole thing.

Now for todays pics...

Z in her new dress that is still too big but I had to try it on her anyway.  Ok and it is still too warm to wear.

G playing football well...not quite football more like trying to catch a football at skills camp.

And more skills camp

Football Day 2

Today was G's second day of football.  We made it all the way to practice and then realized that we forgot his mouthguard.  Thankfully Ducky was home and could bring it to us so he wouldn't have to miss all of practice.  The coach let him warm up without it so he didn't even have to miss anything.

Unfortunately I started out my day with a bad compressor and didn't have one on the truck so I get to go back and do it tomorrow.  I hate doing compressors.  I mean this one shouldn't be too bad because it is outside and I can back my truck up to it but still I am too busy to spend 3 hours of my day doing a compressor.

Hey today is my 10th day as a blogger.  I now have 4 likes on my facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/PsychoSuzys ).  In have 10 twitter followers (  https://twitter.com/PsychoSuzys ) and I have 4 followers on google + ( Cindy McDowall).  I hope to increase that number by my 20th blog post.  I mean I have to start somewhere right.

If there is anything you want to know about me or have me write about just let me know...or just comment saying hello.  I am kind of curious how many people are actually reading this or if they are just skimming along at my pics.

Today is a song that I am digging lately

Como Zoo

Today as our weekly outing G, Z, and I went to Como Zoo.  G got to lead the way with the map.  We saw all the animals and ate lunch at the Sparky the Sea Lion show.  It was so much fun.

When we saw the reindeer I told G that Santa lends them to the zoo so we can see them up close.   He told me I was being silly.  If you ever get the chance to go do it.  It is free to get in but they do suggest a donation of $3 for adults and $2 for children.

We also had our first day of football spring training today.  Well...G did the rest of us hung out on the grass and watched him play.  He is so cute trying to practice and be a ham for the camera.  This will be his second and last season of flag football because 3rd grade starts tackle football and boy is he anxious for that to start...me not so much lol.

G is the boy in the orange shirt and white football pants and his BFF is Maveric and he is the one in the lime green shirt and grey shorts.  Football is so much more fun when you have friends playing with you.

Lebanon Hills

Today we went shopping at the outlets in North Branch to get school shoes for the boys.  We found 2 pair for G and one for K.  We figure K should be fine with one pair for right now due to being 14 and growing like a weed.  After the dreaded shopping trip we treated the boys out to KFC in Forest lake for the chicken buffet.  To top off the day we borrowed a GPS from Labanon Hills and did some geocaching.

Here is a pic of the boys with the second one they found (I forgot to get a pic of the first)

Here is the small one that G found

To top off the awesome day I got Z's dress done.  It is a size 1-2 and she is still in 6-9 months so it wont fit yet but hopefully it will this winter

I would say that she loves it but at 7 months old I don't think that she cares what she wears.

Saturday

I know I don't have to write every day but I am trying to make it a habit so every day it is.  Today I managed to scrape out of work at 2:30 so the day wasn't totally shot but when I got home Big D wanted to go grocery shopping.  Ugh...I so did not want to go.  I mean who wants to go run errands after working in this heat all day.  So off to Walmart and the bank we went.

So here we are at 7:00 pm  and I finally got to sit on my butt in front of the TV and relax.  Ok and get to have some knitting time as well.  I am working on Z's dress that will hopefully fit her this winter.  The pattern is called Maxi Top / Dress and the designer is Elena Nodel here is a link to the pattern.  I am making it in Bernat Mosaic yarn in the Aura colorway.  It is green, blue, and pink stripes.  I hope to get this finished up this weekend but in the mean time I will post a pic from the pattern page.

I am doing mine all in one yarn so picture this without the pink blocks.  I think that it is super cute for a young girl to wear as an every day dress.

Ugh

I am so over this working Tuesday through Saturday in the summertime BS.  Its Friday, its nice out, my kids are home this weekend, my friend Echo's daughters birthday party is tomorrow and I have to work tomorrow.  On the up side today was payday!!!  After paying the summertime nanny and bills I have like $50 to my name but who cares I got paid lol.  Not much new to report today when it comes to kids because I just got home and don't want to do anything so I think it may be a vedge out on the couch and watch TV kind of night.  I will leave you today with a video of one of K's favorite songs.

Post 5

Wow I have been a blogger for 5 whole days.  I know that a ton of people have done this longer than me but hey you gotta start somewhere right?

So today I got out of work at 3:15 which is early for a summer day but I know better than to complain.  I did get to drive out to Cornell, WI today and took a pic of a sweet looking bridge I passed.  It is located at the intersection of highways 178 and TT.  I also took a pic of the sign telling about the bridge.

I also got to go to Chippewa Falls and Eau Claire today.  It was tons of fun (insert sarcasm here).  On the up side I get paid by the hour and I got to stop at Fazoli's for lunch.  They are not in the twin cities metro anymore so you have to go out there or to Rochester to get some.  It is a good change from the same old burgers and fries.

Wrestling Day 2

Unfortunately I missed wrestling again today due to not getting out of work until after 6.  We did get the forms for K's next summer program so that was a good thing.  G had fun as well so added bonus.  I guess that's all I have so I will leave you with a video of G's favorite song

Wrestling Day 1

Today G started wrestling summer camp.  Ok well I don't know if you can call it summer camp because it only goes for 2 days.  I wish I could have gone but I got trapped at work late I only got to see the last 15 minutes of it.  Hopefully I will get out earlier tomorrow to try to snag some pics of him in action.

Z got her books from Amazon today.  I would say how much she liked them but at 7 months it is hard to tell if she liked the stories or not.  I can say that at 7 years old G thought that they were great stories.  Oh I almost forgot what we got was How to Babysit a Grandpa and the companion book How to Babysit a Grandma both are written by Jean Reagan.

K gets to go the St Paul Saints game tomorrow with his summer group.  He is not thrilled about watching baseball but likes to hang out with his friends.  I also finally got some info about his other summer program that he wants to do so we will see how that goes.

Chutes and Ladders

Today G, Z, and I picked up Nana and went to Chutes and Ladders for a picnic lunch.  Z just kinda hung out in her stroller and played in the water with Nana.  G had a blast playing in the park and the water.

When we had enough of the park we came home to cool off in our pool for a while.

It was a great day until this evening when my phone decided to take a dive on me.  As in earpiece wont work I could hear calls on speaker but not with it off as well as it decided to quit charging.  I had a Samsung Exibit II with T-Mobile and also had insurance on the phone so I called them.  What I got is that I had a $100 deductible so I decided that I was going to drive down to the T-mobile store over on Robert St in WSP I don't remember the girls name that I talked to but she suggested a different phone for $4 a month for 2 years or $96 total.  Unfortunately they did not have it in stock so she called the other store down on Robert and Butler and they had the phone.  I worked with Dio and he got me all set up with moving my contacts and everything.  I am now happy with my T-mobile service again.

Very First day as a Blogger

Today is the first day of my new life as a blogger.  I am Cindy and I have 3 kids K is 14, G is 7, and PZ is 7 months.  We life in Minnesota.

I am an avid knitter with a yarn stash that I doubt that I will ever use all of it within my lifetime.  I work full time for an ice company fixing the ice boxes.

K is starting the 8th grade this fall.  He has ADHD and tourette syndrome.  School is a struggle for him because he is too smart for his own good.

G is starting the 2nd grade this fall.  He is a very ambitious boy.  He is looking forward to the start of football season more than school right now.

PZ is 7 months old and getting more and more mobile by the day.  We call her PZ because when I was pregnant with her I didn't want to deal with people saying that we had picked out a bad name so we went with PZ.  One letter was for a boys name and one was for the girls name (it ended up being the Z name).

K is in a day program through the end of July so I take G and Z to do things while I am off on Mondays.  Tomorrow we are going to Chutes and Ladders park in Bloomington and possibly the swimming beach too.  I will check in tomorrow with pictures hopefully.
